ISPA Conference to look at future of the Internet industry

ISPA is excited to announce the agenda for the 20th Anniversary ISPA Conference on 18th November at the BT Tower in London. With the industry hotly debating key issues and looking to the future, the all-day event with feature five panels and keynotes will provide a valuable insight into what the future holds for the Internet industry and network with senior industry colleagues.

ISPA to debate encryption in Parliament

ISPA will hold a timely discussion on encryption at the 10th Annual Parliament and Internet Conference on Thursday 29th October. The session will look at how encryption underpins trust in the Internet and its vital role the digital economy amidst calls to gain greater access to communications data. With the Investigatory Powers Bill due before parliament this year, the session will be a chance to hear from the various sides of the debate. Home Affairs Committee countering  extremism inquiry to look at the role of the Internet

The Home Affairs Committee has launched an inquiry into extremism in the UK with one aspect being the role of the Internet and the responsibilities of industry. Given how the Internet underpins so much of society, ISPA will be highlighting the positive steps the industry has taken in this area, and explain how the Internet should be seen as a tool to confront extremist ideologies ideologies and create a counter narrative.

 

Venus and ibub join ISPA

ISPA would like to welcome Venus and ibub Communications to the association. London based Venus offer fibre based leased lines, ethernet and colocation and ibub are a satellite broadband provider in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
