PAF Promotes Personal Internet Security
Parliamentary Advisory Forum provides key advice on continued online protection

The chair of the Lords Science and Technology Committee Lord Broers will be the keynote speaker at ISPA’s 2007 Parliamentary Advisory Forum (PAF) on Personal Internet Security on 16th January 2007.

The free, members-only forum is being sponsored by LogicaCMG and is hosted by the chairman of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee Phil Willis MP. He will address delegates on personal internet security and update members on the House of Lords Committee’s inquiry on the issue.

Also speaking will be Dave Martin, Information Security Specialist at LogicaCMG, and Matthew Henton, ISPA Council’s Head of Marketing.

The two hour event brings together key industry players, government officials, parliamentarians and lawyers to discuss this important topic through a seminar and Q&A session.

ISPA and its members have been committed to net safety since inception in 1995. Responding to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee investigation into personal Internet security, ISPA believes users’ online personal security can be best protected through continued cooperation between the Internet industry, the Government, law enforcement agencies and end-users. Take a look at the full response here.

The debate will be held in the Attlee Suite, Portcullis House at Westminster.
