Sizzling Summer Networking
ISPA AGM and Summer Reception

Summer is here already, bringing with it ISPA’s AGM and Summer Reception.

Full members are invited to attend the AGM to find out what ISPA has been up to over the past year.

Drinks and discussion will follow the AGM at ISPA’s Summer Reception, presenting members with a great chance to discuss the threats and opportunities facing the market, with fellow industry peers.  Network with MPs, leading industry stakeholders and the ISPA team who will also be in attendance to keep the conversation (and drink) flowing.

The Summer Reception is open to all full and associate members.

We look forward to you joining us for good wine and excellent networking opportunities.

The AGM and Summer Reception will be held on the afternoon of 3rd July 2007 at the National Liberal Club, Whitehall Place, London, SW1A 2HE.

"Next Generation Access - What, How, Why, When?"
ISPA’s third legal forum

ISPA’s next legal forum looks at the possibilities, probabilities and practicalities of NGA in the context of 21CN rollout.  Representatives from BT and Ofcom will be presenting before a Q&A session.

Next Generation Access will pose new regulatory challenges for the Internet industry.  Take advantage of this opportunity and find out what your industry peers think about this topical issue.

The forum is being hosted by Steptoe Johnson LLP and is just one of the many ISPA membership benefits.  It will take place on Wednesday 27th 2007 at Steptoe Johnson’s London office.  Take a look at the legal forum page for more details.

Further membership benefits can be found on the Member Benefits page or contact the secretariat for more information.

‘Business As Usual’ For BT?
EAB’s view on Undertakings delivery so far

The Equality of Access Board (EAB) has published its second annual report evaluating BT’s progress towards delivery of the Undertakings.

The report commends BT for delivery of most key Undertakings on time, such as the newly equivalent Ethernet portfolio. However, the EAB also reports on those Undertakings where BT didn’t deliver on time or in full, such as the transfer of all IPstream records to the LLU equivalent platform by the end of December 2006.

A new section of the report this year assesses how behaviours and attitudes have changed since the introduction of the Undertakings – an area of increasing importance in assessing whether the new regulatory requirements are becoming ‘business as usual’ for BT employees.

The EAB was set up with a majority of independent members in November 2005 to monitor and report on BT’s progress in delivering the Undertakings. Its Annual Report for 2007 is available for download.
