ISPA’s 3rd third annual charity football tournament
The Internet industry’s top players are polishing their footie boots in order to snatch the coveted ISPA Charity Cup title away from last year’s victors, Claranet. ISPA has teamed up with Rconnection, a division of Register.com, to hold the third annual ISPA Charity Cup – a five-a-side football tournament.
With just under a month to go there’s not much time to put together your latest signings of eight colleagues to make up a basic five-a-side team, plus three subs. We're encouraging women to take part so try to mix it up as all male teams will be frowned upon. Teams will then battle it out through a mini league format, to knockout stages and the eventual final.
Teams will be rewarded for all their efforts on the pitch with a drinks reception and prize-giving ceremony off the pitch, where they’ll be plenty of celebrating and commiserating.
This year the annual 5-a-side charity football tournament is open to both members and non-members.
Kick off is at 3pm on Thursday 27th September 2007 at Goals, Wembley.
The fee is just £375 per team, or £600 for two teams with all the fees going directly to charity.

Personal internet security and re-writing the ‘net
The Lords’ report into Personal Internet Security was published this month with ISPA calling on the Government to form an effective partnership with service providers, end-users and law enforcement to help tackle online personal security threats.
In the report ISPA gave evidence as to the feasibility of grafting an "identity layer" on to the Internet.
"The simple answer is that it would be incredibly difficult to rectify the problem because you are talking about rewriting, on a global scale, the entire internet."
