PAF Tackles Harmful Content On The ‘Net
ISPA’s annual Parliamentary Advisory Forum

ISPA’s annual Parliamentary Advisory Forum (PAF) will address the important issue of harmful content on the Internet.

Taking place in the new year, the event will be hosted by Derek Wyatt MP, joint Chair of the All Party Communications Group.  Guest speakers include John Whittingdale MP, Chair of the Commons Select Committee on Culture, Media and Sport and Dr Tanya Byron, who is currently leading a review into children’s access to harmful content on the Internet and video games on behalf of the Government.

Also speaking at the event is Camille de Stempel, AOL UK and Chair of the ISPA Internet-Safety Subgroup, and Peter Hodgson founder and CEO of the PAF’s sponsor Brightfilter.

The event will take place on the 4th February 2008 in the Macmillan Room of Portcullis House, Westminster.

The forum is free to attend and will bring together key industry players, government officials, parliamentarians and lawyers to discuss this important and timely issue.  ISPA has recently responded to Dr Tanya Byron’s review into children’s access to harmful content on the Internet and video games.

More information regarding the PAF is available online.  To register your interest in attending the forum, please contact ISPA Secretariat.
