ISPA Summer Reception and AGM

There are only ten days to go until the ISPA Summer Reception where leading industry players will be able to network and discuss opportunities as well as anticipate challenges for the industry in the year ahead.

The National Liberal Club will play host to the event at 6.30pm on 10th July which is just a short walk from Embankment and Westminster tube stations.

ISPA members are also invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 5pm, prior to the Summer Reception.

Following the AGM, guests will be able to join MP Don Foster, Liberal Democrat spokesman for Culture, Media and Sport for a keynote speech.

Attending ISPA members, government officials and industry leaders can enjoy drinks and canapés available during the reception.

The Summer Reception is sponsored by Swedish company NetClean, who have combined years of experience in data processing and technical research to develop a unique solution for identifying, blocking downloads and preventing the distribution of child abuse images.

Anyone interested in attending the AGM and Summer Reception can reserve a space and receive more information by contacting the ISPA Secretariat.

The National Liberal Club is located at 1 Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2HE

ISPA in the News
Broadband CoP

This month The Office of Communications (Ofcom) published a Code of Practice (CoP) on broadband speed.

ISPA responded with the following release:

“The Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA) UK and its members support the principle of the CoP and its aims and participated in its drafting.  ISPA encourages its members to display openness and transparency when dealing with their customers and believes the CoP supports this.

ISPA would like to see the CoP extended to include wireless mobile operators that provide broadband over their networks as well as fixed line broadband providers, to ensure minimal confusion to consumers.”

The full release can be found here.
