SHORTLISTS ANNOUNCED FOR THE ISPA INTERNET INDUSTRY AWARDS 2000

ISPA has released the shortlist of three candidates for each of the ISPA Internet Industry Awards 2000, hailed by BBC online last year as the "Internet Oscars".
The winners of all the awards will be announced at a Ceremony and Gala Dinner taking place on 15 February 2000 at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Attendees will include more than 600 representatives from the Internet Industry as well as the Minister for E-Commerce Patricia Hewitt MP. The Ceremony will also be transmitted live on the Internet at www.ispa.org.uk/awards.
This year the Awards are divided into three sections which reflect the voting audience of each: business, industry or consumers. The shortlist for the Industry Awards was selected by ISPA members. For the Business Awards a panel of Judges, which included Derek Wyatt MP, founder of the World Internet Forum, as well as top Internet Analysts, Editors and Consultants made the final decisions based on earlier nominations. The readers of Internet Works magazine voted online for their choices for the Consumer Awards.
