| Early Bird tickets now on sale

sponsored by

This year's Conference will take place on Wednesday 22nd May in the offices of our legal forum members Bird&Bird in London.

The Agenda

8.30-9.00 - Registration and refreshments

Keynote - TBC

Panel session - What is next for business broadband?

Despite its unique characteristics and challenges, the business broadband market only rarely features in public, political and regulatory debates.

This panel will:

  • Explore how the business broadband market will change in response to full fibre rollout programmes
  • Define the features that might explain why a different regulatory approach is needed to support the market
  • Outline what regulators and policy markers need to do to allow providers to develop the business broadband market to its full potential

Coffee Break

Panel session - How can barriers to broadband roll out be busted in a collaborative way?

The DCMS set up the Barrier Busting Task Force (BBTF) with collaboration and facilitation at its heart. With the consultations ongoing, there are many calling for the Government to be more ambitious, whilst others are concerned that existing good will and relationships could be jeopardised though increased legislation.

This panel will explore:

  • Are there other ways to reduce these barriers outside wider legislation?
  • Is the BBTF going far enough to facilitate this, and where would industry like to see them do more?
  • Is the Government doing enough to prioritise the delivery of their full fibre ambitions?

Keynote - TBC

Panel session - How should ISP respond to DNS over HTTPS by default? / Is DNS over HTTPS going to lock ISPs out of their networks?

Producers of internet browsers are currently considering whether to enable DNS over HTTPS, a new internationally approved standard for DNS resolution, as the default option for their products.

This panel will explore:

  • What are the opportunities and risks of the widespread adoption of these standards?
  • Do these standards risk pushing margins of the internet value chain?

13.15 - Complimentary lunch and networking

14.00 - Ends

ISPA members can claim one free ticket, please contact admin@ispa.org.uk for more information.
