The Internet Service Provider’s Association (ISPA UK) is thrilled to reveal the finalists for the 2024 ISPA Awards. As it currently stands, an impressive 37 organisations have received nominations across 11 categories, with the prestigious broadband categories shortlist announced today.

Taking the lead this year is Community Fibre with four nominations across all categories, followed by Brsk, Cerberus Networks and Grayshott Gigabit with an impressive three nominations each. Reflective of the current market, the Best Consumer ISP under 100,000 customers has a bumper list of nominees, while a number of altnets are nominated across all the categories.

This past year has seen significant challenges after years of growth that has seen fibre reach two-thirds of the UK. Providers are focused on take up of the new infrastructure, market consolidation and the impact of significant technological changes - including working to meet the impact of the PSTN switch off and setting up cross-infrastructure one-touch switching. Industry has been working tirelessly to deploy fibre throughout the nation with more than two thirds of homes and businesses able to use FTTP services and have worked closely with third sector and government organisations to implement strategies to minimise the digital divide. All worthy efforts that we, as the voice of the UK internet industry, believe should be celebrated.

Six more category shortlists will be announced in September – including Digital Inclusion; Best Sustainability; Rural Infrastructure; DEI; and Communications Campaign. The Internet Hero Award will be announced closer to the ceremony.

Winners will be announced on Thursday, 21st November, at the magnificent OWO Raffles hotel in the heart of Whitehall, as we celebrate the sector’s triumphs and accomplishments at the 26th iteration of industry’s most prestigious awards.

ISPA Chair Steve Leighton commented:

“The 2024 ISPA awards are a celebration of the tireless work and effort we have seen from the UK’s industry sector. It is safe to say that it’s not all been plain sailing for the sector in the past 12 months, but through their continuous efforts these outstanding organisations have not only strived to, but also succeeded, in consistently improving their quality of services, Together with the notably high levels of FTTP deployment, the levels of service provided across the UK have seen significant improvement.  I look forward to the 21st of November, where we will showcase these incredible achievements and celebrate the successes of our industry together.”

About the Awards

2024 marks the 26th annual ISPA Awards night, where the UK’s internet industry celebrates the year’s accomplishments. Those who have entered ISP and hosting categories have undergone technical testing by ISPA’s independent technical testing partner, thinkbroadband. An independent panel of industry experts use the results of testing, as well as written submissions from non-technically tested categories to determine winners, prior to the awards gala. Categories and further information about the awards can be found at https://www.ispa.org.uk/ispa-awards/
