ISPA would like to invite you to a members’ workshop on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), taking place on Thursday December 1st at 14:00 at ISPA (69 Wilson Street, London, EC2A 2BB).
As you may be aware, ISPA offers free ADR membership through Ombudsman Services, having moved from CISAS the other ADR provider at the start of the year.
Under the 2003 Communications Act, ISPs must offer their domestic and small business customers (defined as less than 10 employees) free access to an alternative dispute resolution scheme. Failure to provide ADR can lead to a fine of £50,000.
The meeting will hear from Ombudsman Services who will take members through their processes and procedures, provide an opportunity to ask questions and feedback concerns to identify and mitigate potential problems. The meeting will also be used to help educate Ombudsman Services on the ISP sector to inform their complaint handling. ISPA has been working closely with members on ADR and are aware of issues surrounding how ADR cases are accepted and judgment reached. The agenda will focus on this and other member concerns.
If you wish to attend please RSVP to admin@ispa.org.uk
