The Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA UK) is excited to announce the finalists for the 2022 ISPA Awards! Thirty-five providers have been nominated across ten different categories, with three further category shortlists to be unveiled later in the year.

Exa Networks once again scored the highest number of nominations with four, but Community Fibre, Giganet, KCOM and Ogi are all hot on their heels with three nominations each, and a further five companies who are all nominated for two awards.

The winners will be announced on 24th November 2022 at our annual ISPA gala awards ceremony in the Landmark hotel, London.  Now in its 24th year, the ISPA Awards is the longest running and most prestigious awards for the UK’s ISP industry. This year has seen the categories refreshed to reflect the changing market, with half the categories new or revised. To reflect the new ISPs and infrastructure providers that have entered the market in recent years, both the Consumer and Infrastructure Awards are being split into two, with different awards being given to ISPs or infrastructure operators with more than 100,000 customers or premises passed or fewer than 100,000 customers or premises passed. We also have a Best Customer Innovation Award, an Outstanding Achievement Award and a Digital Inclusion Award - the latter being partnered with the Good Things Foundation to showcase the need to tackle digital exclusion. Shortlists for the two last mentioned categories will be revealed in autumn and we are accepting entries in the Digital Inclusion Award until 24th September.

The shortlist for the Internet Hero and Villain awards will be unveiled closer to the ceremony, and once again we will be crowdsourcing suggestions from the public in the coming months.

Commenting on the announcement, ISPA Chair, Steve Leighton, said:

"This year's ISPA Awards shortlist is an excellent reflection of the vibrant and exciting broadband sector. From household names, new entrants and scale ups, to infrastructure builders, vendors and those serving consumers and business, ISPA is pleased to be showcasing the achievements made in the past twelve months that is seeing fibre deployment accelerated, data usage and speeds increased, and more support than ever being offered to customers struggling with the cost of living. I look forward to seeing the winners unveiled in November."
