ISPA will once again be holding a session at the 9th annual Parliament & Internet conference at Portcullis House, Westminster on October 30. ISPA responds to Anderson Review

As part of the Data Retention and Investigatory Powers Act (DRIPA), the Government committed to a review led by David Anderson QC into the communications data and interception landscape. ISPA has been working with members to formulate its response and we will publish our views shortly. Meanwhile, ISPA read with interest the Home Secretary’s views on the need to reintroduce the Communications Data Bill at Conservative Party Conference.

ISPA meets with CISAS

ISPA members receive free membership of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme through CISAS when they join the association. We have started a new workstream to facilitate practical discussions between CSPs and CISAS on the ADR process. ADR is a legal requirement for all telecommunications providers, and whilst ISPA is supportive of ADR, we have expressed concerns that the system is weighted too far against ISPs with ADR administration fees often far greater than the costs of settling complaints.
