The Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA) is pleased to announce that entries are open for the 2017 ISPA Awards (the ISPAs). The 2017 ISPAs will be the 19th Annual UK Internet Industry awards and will reward the best performing and most innovative companies in the sector.
To reflect continued innovation in the sector, we have launched some exciting new categories. Recognising the work so many providers are doing to transform connectivity in hard-to-reach areas, we have launched the Best Rural Broadband Award, and the Best Wholesale ISP is for the ever-growing wholesale and channel market. We also have launched the Executive of the Year to reward and support excellent leadership in some of the UK’s most high tech and innovative businesses.
Launching the awards, James Blessing, the Chair of ISPA, said: “As ISPs continue to invest in networks and deliver great Internet services, I am pleased to launch the 2017 ISPAs. These awards celebrate the true breadth and diversity of the UK Internet industry, which plays a vital role for the UK economy and society. With technical testing and expert judges, these are the most independent awards in the sector and I look forward to seeing a record number of entries.”
The ISPAs are one of the few industry awards that require technical testing for broadband and hosting entrants and our technical partners thinkbroadband will once again carry out literally millions of tests. A panel of industry experts will determine the shortlists for other categories and all the eventual winners.
The ISPA Awards are free to enter and open to all companies in the sector. To enter, companies must register with thinkbroadband here by 27 January 2017. Companies must than submit written entry forms by 31 March, while broadband and hosting entrants undergo technical testing between 6 February and 31 March.
The winners will be announced at the gala ceremony and dinner, taking place on 13 July 2017 at Café de Paris in London’s West End.
