This year’s Parliament & Internet Conference is taking place on Tuesday 21st November. The Conference, now in its twelfth year, will be hosted by Nigel Huddleston MP. It brings together leading figures from Government, Parliament, academia and industry to discuss and debate the most pressing policy issues facing the internet.
This year’s programme will include high profile keynote speeches, panel debates with senior parliamentarians and industry figures, networking lunch and interactive presentations.

The Conference will cover a range of policy matters, including the cyber threats to the critical national infrastructure, the connectivity challenges ahead (including fibre rollout and future 5G deployment), as well as the proposed Digital Charter.

The issue of cyber security, especially relating to the UK’s critical national infrastructure, has never been more relevant. In the aftermath of high profile attacks this panel seeks to assess the readiness of the UK’s infrastructure and pinpointing challenges for the future.

Connectivity
Mobile and broadband connectivity have been pressing issues for government and industry alike. The rolling out of fibreoptic and 5G remain key objectives, the issues in implementing, and the potential impact of, such infrastructure, especially in light of Brexit, will form the basis of this panel discussion.
