ISPA Awards testing underway

The technical testing for the 2014 ISPA Awards is ongoing with the Broadband, Hosting and VoIP entrants all being tested. The technical testing is used to draw up the shortlist and is a major reason the ISPAs are so well respected.

Entrants still need to complete their written entry form which has to be done by 28th March. We would like to thank Thinkbroadband and Malden Electronics for all their help with the testing.

The Best VoIP Award is sponsored by Magrathea and the Internet Hero and Internet Villain Awards are sponsored by fulfilment specialists NetLynk Direct. We can also announce that the Internet Safety and Security Award will be sponsored by expert security distributors Wick Hill.

Sponsor the ISPA Awards

The ISPA Awards are a great way to meet senior figures from across the internet industry and make yourselves known among the sector. As well as tickets to the event, sponsorship allows branding, ad space as well as a chance to present the award.

Broadband Connection Voucher Moves to Full Rollout

ISPA took part in a Webinar to answer questions on the Connection Vouchers scheme, which sees government grants (up to £3000) for SMEs to install superfast broadband. After a successful trial in 5 cities, the scheme is being rolled out across all 22 cities in the 'super-connected cities' programme.

In addition to working with various councils to help ISPs understand and register as suppliers for the scheme, ISPA took part in a BDUK webinar, and many thanks to Kate Rennicks from Metronet UK who represented ISPA.

A large number of ISPA members have signed up as suppliers, and we will work further with government to promote the scheme.
