ISPA continues its coordination role on Covid-19
We have continued to work closely with our members and Government to share information and inform policymaking over the course of the pandemic. This has included our weekly membership calls, along with continued workstreams on updating the consumer and NHS support schemes alongside DCMS, and feeding into Ofcom and Cabinet Office assessments of the long-term impact on the sector.
ISPA responds to Select Committee inquiries
ISPA has responded to two Parliamentary Select Committees over the last month, including the DCMS Committee inquiry into the 2025 gigabit-capable broadband target and the impact COVID-19 has had on this. In addition, ISPA submitted evidence to the Home Affairs Committee highlighting both the real world and online impacts the pandemic has had due to mis-information.
The Cyber Subgroup has also been busy, with a call held to discuss a Science and Technology Committee inquiry into the supply chain, and on the upcoming TSRs and security legislation. ISPA will be submitting written evidence to the Committee outlining its position on the impact of the regulations on the industry.
Webinar: Maintaining Security in the ‘New Business Normal’ with SonicWall - Register now
24th June, 4pmISPA members are invited to an exclusive ISPA webinar with our cybersecurity partner SonicWall on Wednesday 24th June at 4pm.
As the world adapts to a new remote working environment, security is a key issue that must be addressed. This workshop will focus on supporting providers through new solutions and service provisioning, offering the possibility to drive higher margins whilst adding value, increasing retention and simplifying control. Please find the agenda below, RSVP to admin@ispa.org.uk and we will send you details on how to join the event online.
Agenda
Introduction – Stephen Grey, Strategic Partners at SonicWall and Andrew Kernahan, ISPA.
Part 1 – Boundless cybersecurity, securing access in the ‘new business norm’
The current threat landscape is dramatically escalating risk for your customers, making the cost of conventional security prohibitive and shortage of trained personnel more acute. Constrained budget and staffing resources can’t keep up, creating a growing ‘cybersecurity business gap’ that is unbridgeable with conventional security approaches and resources.
We will look in detail at how new innovative Service Access Secure Edge (SASE) and Secure Mobile Access (SMA) solutions can be provisioned, managed and controlled and the advantages of the available monthly OPEX subscriptions over more traditional annual CAPEX models.
Part 2 – ‘Office in a box’ – Telco grade network & cloud security, switching and Wi-Fi bundles
A carrier network must be agile, scalable, manageable, flexible, cost-effective and, most importantly, secure from today’s prolific threats. Enterprises rely on this infrastructure to deploy reliable voice, video and datacenter services.
In the second part of the workshop we will look at how you can simplify remote onboarding and ongoing maintenance with Zero-Touch Deployment, offer high-availability and low cost data access though SD-WAN, provide single-pane-of-glass visibility and control across gateways, cloud, switches and Wi-Fi services and offer flexible integrated solution bundles with innovative service management through Flexspend.

ISPA Partners 2020
As the global workforce shifts to work-from-home deployments, organizations are operationalizing a much larger group of remote users than ever imagined. A shift from traditional cybersecurity approaches is needed to protect organisations in this new normal. SonicWall’s Boundless Cybersecurity approach helps solve the cybersecurity business gap as workers prove to be less secure when working from home, leaving companies more exposed than ever. The platform delivers seamless protection that stops the most evasive cyberattacks across endless exposure points and increasingly remote, mobile and cloud-enabled workforces.
