That’s why CityFibre is building a world-class digital infrastructure platform, led by a team that’s always pushing boundaries and setting new standards for the industry and new levels of expectation for partners and their customers, ensuring that everything, from how the network is built to how the team innovates for the future, is Better By Design.

DDoS Protection Partner

Automated protection from Carpet Bomb DDoS Attacks

"Spread-spectrum”, “Carpet-bomb”, “Sprayed” attacks are growing in popularity. Should you be concerned?

These are all terms for an attack vector which targets hundreds or even thousands of victim IP addresses simultaneously (most traditional attacks only target a single victim IP address) making them more difficult to detect and mitigate.

At Corero, we continuously monitor the cyber security landscape to ensure that we offer a real-time automatic solution against DDoS attacks including carpet bomb.

This is where TP-Link can help

ISPs are now working on their router upgrades & mesh strategy to manage the demand and increased customer expectations’. Charting the rapid evolution of smart homes

We dipped into the Plume data archives to understand just how quickly smart homes are evolving:

  • We are more reliant on smart devices than ever—globally, the average number of devices connected to Plume-powered networks has more than doubled (8 to 19) since December 2015, with the average number of IoT gadgets and gizmos almost tripling (4.2 to 12.5) over the same time frame.
  • Consumers are enjoying faster WiFi services—the global average download speed for Plume-powered networks was 317 Mbps in December 2021, more than double that of December 2018.
  • Smartphones consume the most data—from video streaming to online banking, smartphones are arguably the most versatile device connected to our networks. They topped the data consumption chart with a global average of 96.3 GB downloaded per home during December 2021.

Test & Measurement Partner

When deploying fibre, you want to ensure the quality is there from the start. To minimize the impact of errors and uncertainty that can accompany conventional unidirectional testing, bidirectional OTDR testing methods have been developed to enhance the accuracy and precision of this important test methodology. VIAVI believes in smarter testing, and that field technicians should be able to rapidly, reliably and cost effectively certify and troubleshoot any fibre link.

VIAVI would like to invite ISPA members to join us on our next LinkedIn Live event where we will discuss what bidirectional testing is, why you would use it, and how to make it as simple and easy as possible. Add the event to your calendar – taking place at 5pm on Thursday 10 March here.
