Sponsored by Openreach, Xantaro and Arista, the conference will be centred on the themes of competition and collaboration, with a number of panels and presentations from industry, regulators and government. Issues on the agenda include the right regulatory environment to facilitate infrastructure competition, ways in which ISPs can better collaborate in a changing market, and what more can be done to stimulate demand for full fibre services. The agenda can be found here.

Don't miss this all-day conference that includes speakers from DCMS, Ofcom, Openreach, CItyfibre, Daisy, uSwitch, Hyperoptic, Nokia and many more, plus presentations from our sponsors. ISPA Responds To Out-of-Contract Notifications Ofcom Consultation

The Broadband Subgroup convened once again in September to discuss the Ofcom consultation on end-of-contract and out-of-contract notifications. The Consultation proposes that consumers across telecoms services will receive a notification before their contract finishes to allow them to engage in the retail market and avoid ‘loyalty penalties’. The response is currently being finalised and will be available on the website following the deadline next week. ISPA has spoken out on a similar issue this month, regarding the Competition and Markets Authority decision to look into the ‘super complaint’ filed by Citizens’ Advice on this issue. ISPA’s response can be found here, which highlights the need to appreciate the variety of reasons consumers may remain loyal to their provider.
